Welcome !

Welcome to Troop 358's web page!

Troop 358 of San Marino is celebrating its 70th year as a Troop. The Troop has over 30 active scouts and has produced over 300 eagle scouts since the Troop was established back in 1955.

The Troop meets on the 1st and 3rd Thursday evenings at 7PM at the Scout House at Lacy Park. The Troop focuses on developing scouting basics, responsibility and leadership. Each year the Troop offers several merit badges, many of which are Eagle required.

The Troop goes on one camp out or event a month, and performs a Community Service project in December. New scouts are welcome to join, they can just show up at the Troop meetings to see how they are conducted and learn more about the Troop.

If you are new to the Troop, contact the Scoutmaster. See "Contact Us" on your left.

  • Bring water and sun protection (hat, sunscreen)
  • Parade starts promptly at 4:45pm. We are near the front so we cannot be late. Some scouts may be asked to hold banners in other spots in the parade.

  • Brannon H
  • Sean C
  • Isaac L

  1. If you do not see your scout's name on the list above, please arrive at 3:30pm and go to the check-in tent to fill out a waiver for your scout so that they can receive a wristband for entry into the park.
  2. If you are on the list, there is no need to go to the check-in tent. I will distribute you wristbands to you.

See you Saturday!

Thank you Mrs. Lee!

Our wonderful Mrs. Lee will be retiring from her role as Advancement Chair this fall. We want to extend our heartfelt thanks for the many years she has devoted to supporting both our Scouts and adult leaders. Her dedication to maintaining advancement records, coordinating Boards of Review, and ensuring our Scouts were recognized with the awards they worked so hard to earn has been invaluable to our troop.

Thank you, Suzie, for everything you've done for Troop 358! Your hours of service have undoubtedly made a lasting impact on each one of our families. Your dedication behind the scenes has helped countless Scouts celebrate milestones and continue making progress on their Scouting journey.

As we celebrate Suzie's well-deserved retirement from this role, we also have an opportunity for another parent to make a meaningful difference. Our troop is looking for a volunteer to serve as our next Advancement Chair. This is one of the most important support roles in the troop, helping Scouts receive the recognition they deserve while working closely with our youth leaders and adult volunteers.

This position is especially well suited for the parent of a younger Scout who expects to be with the troop for several more years. It offers a wonderful opportunity to become involved, build relationships with other families, and make a lasting contribution to the success of our Scouts. Of course, we welcome any parent who is interested in serving.

If you've ever wanted to give back to the troop, this is a wonderful opportunity to do so. Suzie has built an excellent system and will help ensure a smooth transition. Please consider stepping forward to continue the great work she has done. If you're interested or would like to learn more, please reach out—I'd love to talk with you.
